Distinction at the international competition Open Education Challenge 2014

In the context of the international competition Open Education Challenge 2014 the proposal “Cubes Coding” by Dr Theodosios Sapounidis has been granded a distinguished award. “Cubes coding” is based on Dr Sapounidis’ doctoral thesis and concerns the development of a tangible interface (“cubes”) as a robot programming interface to be used by small children (supervising committee: asst. Prof Demetriadis, Prof. Vlahavas, assc. Prof. Basileiadis). The proposal has been included in the best 9 proposals from a pool of more than 600 proposals submitted to the competition from 77 countries worldwide. “Cubes coding” was also granded initial funding as a support toward the development of a relevant business plan.
