Distinction at the Joint Rough Sets Symposium (JRS) 2012

PhD Student Eleftherios Spyromitros-Xioufis took the 9th place in the JRS 2012 competition on automated topical classification of biomedical research papers using Machine Learning algorithms. The competition attracted a total of 396 teams from 50 different countries with 533 registered members. The distincted team improved the baseline performance by 122% (only 3% lower than the top team) and received an invitation to contribute a paper at the Joint Rough Sets Symposium (JRS) 2012. More Information.
