GEC 2022 – 4th Summit on Gender Equality in Computing: Register now

This year’s two-day hybrid Summit on Gender Equality in Computing (GEC’22) is less than a month away! Register now for free and make plans to be part of a summit that aims to celebrate and disseminate achievements in the field, while trying to come up with ways to measure and reduce gender stereotyping and inequalities.

The 4th Summit on Gender Equality in Computing (GEC’22) will take place on June 16-17, 2022 at the Aristotle University Research Dissemination Center in Thessaloniki, Greece.
Registration is free of charge but required. GEC’22 will offer a number of travel grants of up to 300 euro for accepted poster presenters who will have to travel to Thessaloniki to attend the summit. The European Network For Gender Balance in Informatics (EUGAIN)will also provide financial support for early career researchers from Inclusiveness Target Countries.

Yannis Ioannidis, a Professor of Informatics & Telecommunications at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece has announced his candidacy for the position of President of the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM), the world’s largest association of professionals in Informatics.
Prof. Ioannidis previously served as ACM Secretary/Treasurer (2018-2020). He has also supported the Greek Chapter of the ACM-W from the very beginning, and he was the keynote speaker of the 1st Summit on Gender Equality in Computing 2019 – GEC’19 (view his speech at https://youtu.be/s6H4ivx-MdU).
