| 5/2013 | Associate professor Nikos Konofaos received a 2013 Fulbright Research Fellow Scholarship. The scholarship concerns a visit at the University of Maryland, College Park, for conducting research on novel nanoelectronic devices. |
| 5/2013 | The student of the Department of Informatics, Mr Miltiadis Nedelkos received a Fulbright scholarship for the 2013 Summer Institute on Social Entrepreneurship. Mr Nedelkos was chosen among other candidates from all over Greece after a hard competition. He will spend 5 weeks in Indiana, attending summer classes. He is the first Greek scholar for this particular award and it is notable that he is still a second year undergraduate. |
| 4/2013 | Prof. Ioannis Pitas was elevated to “EURASIP Fellow", the most prestigious honour of the European Association for Signal Processing (EURASIP), for contributions in digital media watermarking, nonlinear signal and image processing and human-centered computing in 2013. |

Gogkidis-Moysidis Athanasios and Koniaris Ioannis, students of the Department of Informatics of AUTH, received the 1st prize at the innovation and entrepreneurship contest "EVGE EPIHEIREIN" for preparing the business plan "Wireless and Electronic Parking Management Company NETPARK LTD". The contest was organized by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship Unit and the Employment and Career Structure of AUTH. The contest attracted 76 business plans from students of the course "Entrepreneurship and Innovation" taught in several departments of AUTH. |

Informatics and Economics AUTH, participated in the team's business idea Social Green, which took first place in the competition.

- Alexis braised, undergraduate student in the Department of Informatics Aristotle University, participated in the team's business idea The Ninth Car, which took fifth place in the competition.

In this year's contest
ennovation involved 300 students in 110 teams
from 32 universities / colleges. In the final 15 teams arrived on 29 November and given awards to winning teams. P>
